Altador Cup Coverage – Day 5: KI takes down VP, DC continues to struggle

Goood morning Neopians, yesterday was yet another fascinating match day with the most important match being Virtupets vs Krawk Island, the two dominant teams battled to for a spot in the top 3. Meanwhile fan-favourite Darigan Citadel continues to struggle and Shenkuu managed to make a dent with Tyrannia.
The Virtupets – Krawk Island match was won by the krawks but Virtupets didn’t go down without a fight, there was just 1 point difference in all matches and they even managed to win Shootout Showdown. Making it in my opinion one of the most exciting matches of the cup. With Meridell confirmed as the very last opponent on the last day for the finals it seems like Krawk Island has a chance to get on the podium if they manage to beat Brightvale, Maraqua and Kreludor first.
Meanwhile Moltara gave Darigan Citadel a huge whooping, taking the match with them. Resulting in Darigan’s second continuous day of losses.
Shenkuu on the other hand changed the tides and took home a win against Tyrannia, losing only 1 game which is a welcome change.
As expected Meridell won against Mystery Island with MI players reporting to take the day off because they didn’t expect to be able to beat the SOTAC backed powerhouse.
The most exciting matches today?
Fan favourites Faerieland and Darigan Citadel will take each other on today, while both teams haven’t performed exactly great this AC, it might also be due to their unlucky match schedules.
