Weekly Neopets Insider – Week 5, 2023
Most Neopians probably got a hangover after celebrating Jhudora Day, I know I did, this week but that isn’t the only great thing about this week. We’ve seen increasingly positive returns on Food Club this week while last week was also pretty great. Other markets aren’t doing too hot but that’s alright.
Editors Note
I’m aware I promised the monthly report on Food Club results somewhere at the beginning of this week but I’ve been quite busy in real life to the point where I nearly forgot to write this edition of the insider, hence this edition is a little late.
Food Club This Week
In last Week’s food club chart I accidentally placed Kosmic_Khaos on the first place while that spot had gone to JKC7 in reality. This week however, after many checks, it turns out that Kosmic_Khaos rightfully has the first spot rather than the second spot they got last week.
We’re also seeing Nsheng make a generous comeback with Aggressive bets while Adventurous is lagging a bit behind while still performing pretty good. No one in the chart managed to dip below a 100 this week despite a few bust days including a skip day so that’s pretty good.

Stock Market This Week
As predicted PDSS quickly returned to normalcy after peaking at an unexpected peak of 89. Meanwhile NAKR went down again, currently floating around 11, which is fine, it means that you can load up on the stock for now. It’s peak frequency is still overdue and it usually peaks out at 53 so I’d recommend getting in on that stock.
As for our stars VPTS and KSON, VPTS has only gone up so far, with a few swing backs down. It’s currently around 1282 while last week’s peak was around 1260 before it tumbled down and up again. It seems like the stock won’t budge anytime soon. KSON on the other hand had a much rougher time this week, but it appears to be climbing up again.
I’m still expecting NAKR to surprise us somewhere this week due to it’s peak frequency, however peak frequency is not a guarantee of peaking. There are some stocks that have been missing out on their peak frequency for days on end like FAER, so take this advice with a grain of salt.
Battledome Markets This Week
Nerkmids seem to have stagnated around last week’s prices, which is sad but to be expected after such astronomical growth. The average nerkmid still goes for around 184k which is still better than compared to the beginning of the year when prizes were around 169k.
Codestones continue their descent into higher prices, with notable exceptions being Zed, Vux and Bri codestones. The highest growth is seen with the Mag codestone, increasing 1000 NP in value. Nothing too exciting but when growth compounds you’ll get the better results later on.
Surprisingly Neo Cola tokens also continue their rise into higher prices with the blue neocola token valued at 3650 NP compared to last week’s 3300 NP. Why Neo Cola tokens are increasing in price is not really understandable but as a battledome player who earns a bunch of neo cola tokens every week I am not complaining.
Calendar This Week
Admittedly I expected more fanfare for Jhudora Day but at least Zafara Day got Zafara’s some pretty neat looking Steampunk stuff and wearable Twisted Roses merch! The prices of these new items are hard to estimate as the market is still trying to figure it out.
On another front, The Neopets Team has launched Nosy Neopians a new series on the official Neopets Youtube channel hosted by TNT Willow and TNT Ivy in which they talk about upcoming features, neopets in general and have interviews with other TNT members. It’s an effort to be more transparent towards the community and I think it’s a nice step forwards given TNT’s historical track record with transparency. Will they ever address last year’s Altador Cup?
