Weekly Neopets Insider – Week 1, 2023

Read Time:4 Minute, 23 Second

We start off Year 25 with a relatively unstable Food Club Market causing crowd favorites to book lesser results but not everyone is losing this week. The unstable Food Club Market is accompanied by a mediocre stock market this week and quite boring but at least we have stable Battledome markets. In cultural news we celebrated Ogrin Day, Aisha Day and Gnorbu day, with TNT releasing a new Pride collection for Aisha’s this year!

Editorial Note

I used to do a daily financial update on this site but that was a recipe for a burnout and I nearly bored myself to death with those low-quality articles. That’s why I’ve decided to revamp that editorial part into a weekly thing where I also address cultural stuff and other things that I’m pretty sure might be of genuine interest to y’all.

The Food Club section is revamped to showcase the best bettors of the week in an effort to show that following the most upvoted isn’t always necessary a recipe for success. Not that there’s anything wrong with the most popular bettors but getting insights into alternatives to max out earnings can’t hurt.

The Stock market section has gotten less vague and dry and more to the point as with a weekly edition I don’t have to come up with filler content.

The Battledome Market section is brand new and keeps an eye on the prizes you can win with battling Jetsam Ace (premium), Koi Warrior and Giant Space Fungus.

As for the cultural section, we look at what the calendar brought us this week and stories from within the community that you might have missed.

Food Club this week.

This week was a week with many busts but luckily the last day was a huge win for most of us, especially the people who were following Nsheng’s Agressive and Adventurous bets.

As you can see in the table following the 2 most upvoted bettors doesn’t always result in the highest returns. Of Course there aren’t any ways to predict and pick the best bettors, there isn’t really such a thing as the best bettor but it doesn’t hurt to look at other options occasionally.

Keep an eye out for our Food Club Year 24 in review report coming out soon.

As for today’s bets Kosmic_Khaos seems to be the most daring with a 100:10 chance.

Stock Market this week

The stockmarkets weren’t too hot this week, with only 2 shares reaching interesting selling points namely SHRX (70) and SKEI (65). Meanwhile SSS only managed to peak 52.

Judging on patterns TNPT should be able to hit the 60-range this week, historically the average peak for this stock is 72 so keep an eye out for that stock.

As for the two Juggernauts who never really seem to go down they went up 30+ (KSON) and 46+ (VPTS) this week, resulting in quite similar returns compared to investing in stocks at 15 if you were to sell today.

If you insist on keeping the Juggernauts to your portfolio, KSON has never been this high before and VPTS appears to be in a bull run pattern. If you don’t have the stocks yet the advice is to stay clear of those.

Battle Dome Market this week

Nothing too crazy is happening this week with the Battle Dome Market other than nerkmids going slightly up on average.

On average the Nerkmids went up by 12k in value this week. With the high flyers being Platinum Nerkmid XX (+18K), Aluminium Nerkmid, Lesser Nerkmid and Ultimate Nerkmid (+15K). Meanwhile Golden Nerkmid X and Basic Platinum Nerkmid lost some value (-9K). Overall Nerkmids increased in value to an average of about 169K.

Overall the price of Nerkmids isn’t anywhere close to its peak height in the 200K range and there are no indicators of this changing anytime.

On the Codestone front the Eo Codestone slightly increased in price, climbing with 500 to 17K and Zed Codestone took the hardest hit with 1.8K dropping to 36.9K

Meanwhile Neo-cola tokens went up slightly with about 200 NP to about 3.2k on average.

As for dubloons, they aren’t really newsworthy with minor changes happening.

Calender this week

This week we got to celebrate new years day, ogrin day, aisha day and gnorbu day. All three Neopets species got new clothes with the Aisha Pride collection being the most interesting of them all. The entire Aisha set going for about 4 million neopoints, probably more. This is quite understandable given how Aisha’s are quite popular Neopets and people have been going nuts spending on pride attire ever since Neopets.com started releasing pride items. The limited supply is a problem to some people as they would love to have pride attire for their neopets but can’t afford it.
