Weekly Neopets Insider – Week 3, 2023

We finish the third week of the year with relatively interesting markets. Food Club saw a new challenger approach the top 10 this week, meanwhile the NeoDaq saw better growth than last week and on the Battledome front we saw little bit significant change.

Editorial Note

I’m aware this week’s edition is late again as well but welp, I’ve just had a busy week even missing 2 days of playing Neopets 😮 so yeah you can imagine keeping up a weekly newsletter.

Food Club This Week

Food Club seems to have calmed down a little, with far less upsets compared to last week. The chart also remained quite the stable with Nsheng and JKrollingdown on top again, apart from Nsheng’s Adventurous bets which took a hit this week, only yielding a 60:70 return.

That’s the name of the game though, with adventurous bets you can make monstrous returns but not every single day.

Other than that JKC7 managed to shoot back 4 points to the second place of the chart, hot on Nsheng’s tail with 142 points.

We saw Ipiraat get dropped from the chart in favor of ~Cupcake who came in at an impressive 7th place for the first time this year.

Stock Market This Week

As predicted SSS continued on it’s pattern to climb higher and has since reached a peak of 66 rather than the historical 72. TNPT and SHRX took their predicted nosedives

The Two bright stars of the NeoDaq really recovered this week, contributing the most to the NeoDaq’s Index.

KSON climbed 38 points this week, reaching new historical heights, if you bought the stock at the very start of the year your share would have increased 100 points. Similarly VPTS climbed 45 points, which would also have resulted in a 100 points increase if bought at the beginning of the year.

Whether the stocks will continue their climb is hard to predict though, VPTS had its peak at 1770 twice in 2021 but ever since the stock has continued being a rollercoaster ride like its brother KSON.

The exciting stocks this week seem to be PDSS and FISH which both managed to climb 16 points this week but both stocks have likely already reached their maximum potential this week.

So if you need to sell you might have missed the boat already. To showcase that I’m not just making this up, here is a screenshot of PDSS it’s usual patterns in the past few years.

As you can see PDSS peaks around 47 on average and in the past few years there has been a clear pattern of peaking high followed by a quick nosedive. However, these are just predictions ofcourse.

Battledome Market This Week

Nerkmids were overall quite stable with only 3 outliers this week Platinum Nerkmid X climbed another 9000 NP bringing the total price to 187,000 NP meanwhile Aluminium Nerkmid and Platinum Nerkmid XX lost 4000 and 1000 NP respectively.

Codestones made very little changes this week with the largest swingers being Cui Codestone climbing 3900 NP to 36,700 and Eo Codestone gaining a marginal 200NP in value now valued at 17000 like it was at the start of the year.

The stones losing the most value were the Vux Codestone losing 2100 NP in value now worth 35,500 NP and Lu Codestone losing 500NP going back to 7000 NP.

Lastly Neocola tokens were a mixed bag this week with the Blue Neocola token dipping 300 NP down to 3300 NP, Green Neocola token jumping up 250 NP to 3650 NP and Red Neocola token losing 100 NP in value.

Calendar This Week

This week we celebrated Sloth day and Elephante day, Elephantes were given some interesting tar clothing pieces and are now able to be painted in zombie color. However, given how unpopular they are I don’t expect much for these items.

Meanwhile the Sloth items released were little but interesting, one item that I can definitely see shoot up in value is the Six Nights at Sloths background for fans of the Five Nights at Freddie franchise which seems to overlap with Neopians.
