Altador Cup Coverage – Day 6: Meridell, Krawk Island and Brightvale set to reach finals but who will join them?

Good Morning Neopia, today it’s finally a bye day, we’re leaving behind an exciting first week in which many predictions were crushed. The way it looks now Sotac-backed Meridell, Krawk Island and Brightvale are set to make it to the finals, the 3 teams tower over the others with 6 consecutive wins. But who will join them in the battles for the podium?
That Meridell is the runner up for first place is no surprise, the SOTAC-backed team has been outperforming every team that it faced. As for Brightvale, no one exactly knows why the team is suddenly performing so well, some assume cheaters, some assume its allstars wanting a funny match. And well, Krawk Island has no rumours surrounding its team, the Krawks have always been a mid-tier powerhouse, never ending lower as 8th place. The Krawks also happen to be lucky, with the only hard team they faced being Virtupets which they managed to beat. As it seems that they’ll only face Meridell on the last day of the cup they’re deemed very lucky.
But who will join them for the finals? Well, Kreludor, Maraqua and Virtupets are strong contenders this year and Virtupets already faced Krawk Island who sunk their spaceship.
Meanwhile Maraqua is looking strong as well despite ending up in a draw against Mystery Island and well as for Kreludor, the only opponent they’ve had trouble with was Virtupets so far
Is there any chance for the current mid-tier teams to rise up? Well, Darigan Citadel and Mystery Island have shown some improvement, with Mystery Island complaining about having to face the hardest matches first, if the rest of their matches are easier they might have a chance to make it.
